Geodesy is the science of accurately measuring and understanding three fundamental properties of the Earth: its geometric shape, its orientation in space, and its gravity field-as well as the changes of these properties with time. With the help of geodesic science our survey engineers are able to juxtapose existing survey/historical maps on most current data and are able to carefully determine the temporal changes with firm accuracy. Shoreline transitions and mean sea level determination and its delineation from mathematical surfaces, are an integral part of Geodesy. Our survey engineers make use of such information and its transformation to arrive at geoid models suitable for project purposes.
